: Cruisin the Coast in Mississippi
prostreet69camaro Oct 7th, 08, 08:02 AM Ok guys, I am leaving tomorrow for Cruisin the Coast. I am waiting on my fuel pump to come back and it is scheduled for delivery today. It went out 2 weeks ago and they repaired it before I leave. Hopefully hook it back up and I am good to go. Suppose to be a beautiful weekend. No rain in the forecast, but it did rain here tonight. Hopefully see some of the TC members there.

fatblock Oct 7th, 08, 04:19 PM I hope you have a great trip Mike.:beers:.look forward to seeing some pics.
prostreet69camaro Oct 7th, 08, 07:54 PM Yes the fuel pump came in but my regulator was messing up. I ended up buying another one local and just finished getting it all together. The 4 port regulator was feeding 15 psi to the carbs and would not regulate. I post pictures when I get back.
82Vettrin Oct 9th, 08, 01:38 PM just spoke with my buddy, Henry. they're having a ball down there on the Coast :D
he and Mike (OP of this thread) are supposed to hook-up tonight.. that oughta be scary ..:beers::beers:
prostreet69camaro Oct 16th, 08, 09:00 AM We met up with Henry at CTC. Real nice guy and nice car. Crusin kinda sucked since Hwy 90 was being repaved. They were behind about 4 weeks because of the storms but it was still a nice time. We will be going back next year. Here is some pictures of Henry's 67 prostreet bada$$ camaro.
Even with sitting in traffic for a hour my car ran 194 degrees idling and Georges car ran 180 degrees. That is awesome.

Agreed! Cruising was great, as always .. much better than last year, but not as good as next year.. Everyone should plan on making this show at least once... Not just cars *sitting* at a show, but cruising constantly from site to site... more than 10,000 cars of all kinds this year~~
82Vettrin Oct 23rd, 08, 08:57 AM lol,, understand completely Mike
no, he has dropped-in here a time or two this week, but it was always at a time when I was occupied with work (gawd, I hate it when that happens :p).
we'll get around to a pic~showing session maybe tomorrow as we have rain forecasted and that will slow my schedule down a bit..
he was somewhat disappointed with Good Guys this weekend.. no wins. his was as-good-as anything picked. oh well. win some, lose some .
prostreet69camaro Oct 23rd, 08, 11:17 AM Chris,
I really dont understand how they judge at CTC. Do you or Henry know how it works.
82Vettrin Oct 23rd, 08, 12:48 PM I think it's like a drawing format.. found this on their website:

67sprtcp Jan 30th, 09, 03:57 PM Whos going back for cruisin the coast 2009 ?
prostreet69camaro Jan 30th, 09, 05:41 PM We are going again. Staying at the Quality Inn in Biloxi. We will have 4 or 5 cars going.
camaroman7d Jan 30th, 09, 05:45 PM That sure looks like a lot of fun. I will have to attend this one year. Depending on how the economy treats us, I might just have to save some money on the side for this show/cruise.
prostreet69camaro Jan 30th, 09, 05:53 PM Royce,
It sure is a long ways for you to go though but I think you would enjoy it.
smalblock Jan 30th, 09, 06:03 PM We are going back to Cruisin' the Coast in 2009 also. As a matter of fact, we're leaving in the morning in our '69 camaro to "Cruise the Coast" this week end.
Musclecar Jan 30th, 09, 06:08 PM I think a couple of us from here in oklahoma are heading that way this year. I will be down there in August for a couple of weeks and may bring the camaro with me then too...looking forward to going this year.. i was in Iraq last year or i would have been there...

Mike,
You're right but, I'm a true gear head and something like that to me is like other people going to the Bahama's or Europe (or where ever people that travel like to go). I have a list of automotive related must sees, Cruising the Coast is one, Woodward Dream Cruise, and Byron Dragway Wheelie Contest, are a few.

Yes, The wife and I plan our vacations around car related events also. We are going to Bowling Green for the NHRA Notasgalia races in June then to Ohio were her family lives. I will trailer my car there and then to Ohio. I also went to high school there and my buddies are meeting us in Bowling Green also.
Pro-Street69Camaro468 Jan 31st, 09, 06:20 AM I cant believe I missed this post last year this must of been my time away from the boards when I crashed my car.Looks like a fun time sounds simular to the OC Cruzin week. How are the Police when this is going on OC's cops are Richard Cranials. That is a bad 67 is it air ride aint gettin much lower than that.Hows your DSE 69 going its to cold here to start work on my sons Chevelle.Anyway nice pics thanks for sharing.
prostreet69camaro Jan 31st, 09, 08:07 AM Hey David,
The show and cruisin is great. Sitting on Hwy 90 at night watching the cars is cool also. Then we go cruise for a while and watch more cars. Check out there website.

The cops are bad. They will give you a ticket in a heart beat. Just dont do nothing stupid and get caught. I am working on the 69. It is a slow process when I work a 14/14 day shift. I will put the motor and trans in next week and I will post somemore pictures in the pro-touring section.
The 67 is not on air bags. That is how low it sits. It was definitely bad a$$. Nice bunch a guys but they said they werent coming back due to the casino parking and security. That is why I stay at the smaller hotels.
