I found a great date correct alternator for my car. It failed the local pep boys test. What are my options? Can I buy a rebuild kit? Recommendations?

Recommendations? thanks Scott NHBandit Oct 7th, 08, 06:58 PM GM alternators are easy to rebuild and the parts are cheap but if you don't feel confident doing that buy a reman and swap the front housing from the correct date coded alternator onto it or have yours rebuilt by someone who knows how to do it. .
