Any secrets to removing the universal joints on a 1967 RS? I removed the c-clips on the outside put it in a press but it is not even budging... Worried, I might damage something if I really keep cranking down on it... Any words of wisdom on getting it out?

Also, I blasted the driveshaft to remove the 40+ years of grime, looks good, but was wondering what the recommended coating? It's a weekend driver... POR15 on it, or just rust-oleum primer and semi-gloss black?

Thanks

Hi, you may want to put some liquid wrench oil in there, I use a socket that matches the u-joint and a lightly hammer the u-joint out, and or put some heat on it may help a bit.

Yes I just use primer and semi gloss paint, its just a drive shaft...
