Ok - after painting the dash I started to put it all back together. After I put the instrument cluster back in, I started the car no problem. When I pulled on the headlight switch - first stop parking lights on, second - no headlights...also - speedodometer seems ok but on the fuel gauge, the needle is below E when off and comes up just past E when powered on.

What are your thoughts on the headlight issue. (the bright switch on the floor was not re-installed yet)

For the fuel gauge - just take the cluster back out and move the needle to E manually?

Thanks

Regarding the headlight issue, hooking up the bright light switch on the floor will fix that!

Regarding the fuel gauge issue, grounding the instrument panel will fix that!

Thanks. Where did the little ground wire attach on back of the cluster?

OK - thanks for the input

Headlights work since the dimmer installed!

Regarding the fuel guage. Today it actually swept counterclock wise to about the 3 oclock position from about the 5oclock position - still need suggestions please.

Do I have to set the fuel gauge at E or something before I put it in the cluster then the cluster in the dash? Can someone share a diagram of the ground wire please?

Thanks
