I just bought a 1969 Camaro and I am having issues with the signal bulbs.

The passanger fit I used a 1157 but if I turn on the head lamps the signal stay solid on and the signal part does not work. If the headlamps are turned off it does work.

My questions is what is the light bulb that I should be using? Is the 1157 dual fillimant wrong? Please tell me the corerct bulb to use.:confused:

On a non-RS 69, it used a double filament on the outboard socket only and a parking light (single) on the inboard. RS used doubles for both. Try a search for 1156 and you can read about the too bright 1156 and its proper replacments :)

Up to twice the life of the standard lamp? Whew. All of mine are original except the drivers rear inside tail.
Wonder how long 'twice' is? And almost all of the rest are original too.

Kevin, I don't see a listing for the inner (the ones closest to the trunk lock) bulb for the rear tail lights. I recall a small bulb, like a 67, 89 or 90.
