anybody know where to look or who can tell me how to drop the steering column? I need to attach the L shaped hook to the ignition switch on top of my column. That hook was attached a few weeks ago when I drop it last and somehow it became lose and unattached. I really am not looking forward to dropping the column. yuck- thanks guys=:o

take out the two bolts that hold the column up under the dash, and the 5 or 6 3/8" head bolts on the floor around where the column goes thru the firewall. this will let it drop far enough to get good access to the top of the column.

It is a quick and easy job... when setting the wire lever make sure it doesnt bind/touch on anything

on a 69 camaro to get to the ignition switch, I just have to drop the column by taking out the two bolts that hold it to the dash- I see those, but not the other bolts, where are they?
