I have a 87 2.8 Vin S, I don't have any spark, here is want I’ve replace, the dist, the dist module, pickup coil, cap, rotor, coolant sensor, TPS and replace the pickup coil again, it was bad, I thought I had it repaired with the new pickup coil, but, still no spark. I replace the ign coil as well. Thanks for any help.

Is there power going to the distributor?
Rotor turning? No broken timing chain?

I have power going to the ign coil and the wires going from the coil to the module (2 wire harness) are both hot? And yes the motor is turning. The times before I got it to run, it would run and all of a sudden it would turn off like someone turn the key off. I read somewere that when you turn the key on, it sends power to the ign module? At this point I am thinking ign switch or the ECM??

I found the problem with the car!!! After installing a new pickup coil, the car would not start. So, I rechecked all of the items, my buddy let me borrow a truck book that had my system in it 87 2.8 Vin S. I ran down the guide and got to the bottom of the list and it came back to the pickup coil or the connections!!!! Well I was shock!! I recheck the p/u coil for ohms and that was ok, but when I checked from the p/u coil to the dist ground, it had a reading!!!. I replaced the whole thing again complete dist and all. It started right up. Just thought I would update you guys.:hurray:
