The right rear axle seal is leaking. I noticed it today when I pullled the wheel off. I have a Moser 12 bolt axle assy. with the 30mm c-clips axles.

Is the seal the same as the GM original? Or do I need a special one for this application?

I would go ahead and order it from Moser. I also have a Moser 12 bolt in my car..... 33 spline axles, 4:10 gear, larger rear drums w/ c-clip eliminators. Yours possibly may be the same as GM if it's just the standard Moser w/ c-clips. If it's a seal it won't cost much more from Moser and you know you will be getting the right part. I called their tech support a few months ago and got the full specs on my 12 bolt as the receipt was never given to me when I purchase it from a repair facility which installed it. In any case their tech guy said if I ever need anything to call Moser directly for replacement parts.

If you have c clip axles then the axle bearings and seals are the same as the originals.
