: New best 60 foot!
Steve69SS396 Oct 19th, 08, 11:49 AM Pulled a 1.39 sixty foot on a 175 shot last night! :D
Only ran the car on a 175 shot but it was running consistant 10 teens at 131 with mid to low 1.4 sixty foot times. Last pass of the night it did the 1.39 but only ran 10.22 at 129 because of low nitrous pressure. It was the last grudge night of the year and the staging lanes were packed. By the time I made the pass the bottle pressure was 800.
Didn't get video of the last pass but here are some of the others.
Thanks

Creeper Oct 20th, 08, 06:46 AM Nice ! Pretty car also.
camaroman7d Oct 20th, 08, 08:05 AM Steve's car was leaving hard and pulling all the way down the track. I was at the track and was very impressed with how hard it was leaving. The place was a zoo for sure and I don't think the track "officials" ran the event very well.

Thanks everybody! :beers:
The suspension and converter are working great together. Caltracs and split mono's work awesome! I'm real happy with the way it hooks and just cruises down the track. :hurray:
sc68z28 Oct 20th, 08, 10:12 PM Great job Steve
The car looks and sounds awsome!
That first 1.3X 60' really feels good, ha
How much more spray are you going to give it?
Do you have a comp licence and cage cert, or will they let you slide a little on High 9's?
---Bill.

I knew it left hard but it had been running mid to low 1.4's so the 1.39 was a nice surprise. :D
It's setup to handle a 275 or 300 shot and I think it will run 9.70's or 9.60's. The track I run at will usually let it slide for a bit but I plan on getting my license and the cage certified.
smits67 Oct 22nd, 08, 06:39 PM Are you running mufflers? Sounds quiet in the video....

Yes, I'm running Dynomax Ultra Flo mufflers.
ron498 Oct 24th, 08, 01:38 AM I notice that it hooks, then spins then hooks again.
I think you need more front suspension travel, and maybe stiffen the front shocks.
A low bottle, with low temp (pressure) will cost a few mph.
That said, nice job!
Tune that 175 shot for a bit, work on the suspension a bit, and it will go nines.
Bottle pressure is tough when it's cold out. Do you have a bottle heater? Makes a diff, but watch the battery!
I ran the other night, forgot how many runs on the bottle. Heated and lost batt voltage....down to 11v. Even though I have an alternator, sure is best to have 13v available. My bottle ran out at 1000 ft........still manages a 9.48.....but lost 3mph.
Done for the year? Dang! Don't you hate that?
