I know there have been several posts about the cushioned-rim option code NK1 or "Comfort Grip" steering wheel availabilty on 1969 Camaros. I know that most experts here have said they never came from the factory on a 69 Camaro. For those of you who don't frequent the yenko.net forums, here is proof that at least one did:

They were listed as an option, but records showed total cars with this option "0" Do a search on the subject you will see that the most knowledgable people on this site have said that there were no cars with the option and none documented to prove any different. After all those discussions I thought it was cool to see that at least 1 1969 Camaro did come with that option.

I knew of several that were OEM "back in the day" (before anyone gave a rip about supporting documentation).
This loaded car with the paperwork (window sticker) proves it, I would have to surmise that the NK1 RPO was not counted for whatever reason.
A LOT of people KNOW they came with them, apparently the sticking point is Chevrolet's records only show the woodgrain wheel RPO ...

It has an RPO code but was never shown with the other RPO's in the Factory Assembly Instruction Manual or listed in the White Book. It's cool to see Charley's car and doc's proving the item was available and to know there was at least one. It doesn't validate any other car though with one installed.
