Most want to lower 2". Are the springs old and sagging? Replace them. Is it a small block? Use big block springs. Does it have drop spindles? Use stock. I have the QA1's on my 68, not sure yet if I like them but they adjust the height id desired.

I have a nice used pair of coil springs off a 68 Firebird equipped with a "400" engine.....These will give you the height you're looking for.....Let me know if you're interested.

....The shocks have THREADS with a backing plate so you can LOWER or RAISE the RIDE HEIGHT....

Put a jack under the front end and pump until you like it, or take off the intake, head, and radiator. lol.
man it seems like no one is ever happy with the height of their car.

in order to give you an honest answer we'll need to know a bit about your car. what size tires, what springs, was the ride height ever good or have you always wanted to raise it two inches?

if it has drop springs, replace with new "factory replacement springs"
if it has old factory springs put new factory springs

I already had b/b springs, and my car still sat too low, so I bought the urathane spring inserts at Auto Zone. They are sort of "H" shaped, so I rounded one side with a grinder, and then stuck it up inside the upper A arm. Gave me about 1".

I'm just the opposite..... I always wonder you guys want your cars so freakin low? To me lowering a car 2 in. is ridiculous, then you complain how the headers always drag.
I'm a late 60s-early 70s guy, our Camaros weren't low and didn't handle well by todays standards... but they went in a straight line real quick. Of course I'm a big block guy.
I have a C5 Vette now and appreciate handling but I still prefer my Camaros to the high side.

I'm with you 100% on this one Bob. The real muscle didn't sit low when it was new.

I had big block springs, has a small block now, in my '79 & it sat way too high. I replaced these with small block springs, then it sat too low, tires bottomed out on road dips. So I replaced the cheap front shocks with Bilsteins to give more resistance going down. Now it only does it on extreme dips.
In retrospect, should have gone with coil overs.

It's not so much that the front is low or high. What everyone should be doing is adjusting the front end relative to the rear. If you rear is high and your front is low, then yes, you need to raise the front to match and visa-versa. My personal take on heights on 69s is the front tire is just on top of the tread when looking straight in, the rears should be 1" higher than the thread (215/70/14s). That will give you a small rake to the front.

I do not like the "back end down" look on 69s, so on my 327 car I will be raising the rear with re-arched monos and lowering the front with 6320 springs. :D

Of course tires play a big part in this and should be taken into consideration. Luck!

Ditto here...I am old skool... although I assume if your looking for superior handeling like a go-cart that would be difficult with the musclecar stance of the 70's-80's. I admire all camaros, as a matter of fact all American muscle cars no matter what the stance.
