Everett#2390 Oct 21st, 08, 08:26 PM Locksmith should have blanks, GM ignition key design been around a long time. But any key shop should have it, unless its a VATS key, then any GM dealership with ownership papers, i.e., registration to you. HarleyD67 Oct 21st, 08, 08:39 PM if your looking for the "old style" GM blanks there are a couple of places on ebay that had them for @ $2 each 2 yrs ago. KevinW Oct 22nd, 08, 05:19 AM I bought a bunch of those GM keys off of ebay. Finally was ready to key them. All the locksmiths in my area have converted to "mobile" locksmiths :( Went to Home Depot and had a young man key them (4 keys). Brought my door and trunk locks in to make sure they fit before leaving the store. He did a fine job, the GM blanks were a little different from the generic keys I had, but he adjusted them fine. Went to pay and he said since I brought my own blanks in he cannot charge me :D Seems HD charges by the key blank, not the cutting. Dont buy a blank, no charge! :hurray: Unreal Oct 22nd, 08, 10:48 AM I got extra keys cut at the dealer about 4 years ago. I now have an NOS ignition tumbler (with red notch) and 2 pristine original door locks. There was a guy on ebay last year who was going to fit the two door locks to the ignition key. I don't know if he's still around, but his email was 1greatdeal@comcast.net.
