While wasting time at autozone the other day and talking with the manager about oil filters I came across this and found it interesting. We took 3 filters out of their boxes for the same application, standard GM V8 spin on filters. AC Delco, STP, and Valuecraft(house brand). They were identical, the writing on the bottons, the stamping on the housing and tops, they weighed approx the same by feel, down to the green and yellow stripes on the seals. He says they are all the same in a different box with a different color. I found this very interestig. Any input?

FWIW - I do not think the AC Delco filters are the quality they once were.
