Greg O Oct 24th, 08, 01:20 PM :thumbsup: Are you going to change pistons or stick with the 10:1? 6D9 Oct 24th, 08, 01:47 PM :thumbsup: Are you going to change pistons or stick with the 10:1? I am keeping them and running water/meth injection. Dougs72Nova Oct 24th, 08, 01:52 PM Congrats Ron. I just put a hint in to my wife for a super powershot for Christmas.:D wiskeesour Oct 24th, 08, 02:00 PM at what point is the wate/meth injection required? Im curious as to if Ill need it when I put a supercharger on my pickup. It will be bone stock with the supercharger until I get the ASA or Comp cam and the L92 heads. 6D9 Oct 24th, 08, 02:14 PM at what point is the wate/meth injection required? Im curious as to if Ill need it when I put a supercharger on my pickup. It will be bone stock with the supercharger until I get the ASA or Comp cam and the L92 heads. Im no expert so I dont wanna say when its needed. But the water/meth is a chemical intercooler. Really lowers in the temp of the intake charge a bunch. For more info PM Camcojb on here. He is the expert on these blow thru Procharger deals with water injection. Doug....thats too funny! That would have been ALOT easier and cheaper than doing what I am....but oh well...it will look and sound cool! 6D9 Oct 30th, 08, 11:48 PM Man....I cant believe this but I think I am gonna sell the Procharger I just bought! Just dont feel good about the Eagle cast steel crank/I beam rods/10 to 1 comp ratio with this set up. So i think I am going to go another route......Im retarded...I know.... Radcannon Nov 2nd, 08, 11:35 AM Haha you just have to make up your mind and stick with your decision you sound like me... I eventually want to stick a small blower on my 383 i am all forged bottom end with h-beams though. I am waiting untill i get my car up here where E85 is readily available and just throw a new carb that can handle it when i do the swap. How much power are you hoping to push?? 6D9 Nov 2nd, 08, 10:22 PM Haha you just have to make up your mind and stick with your decision you sound like me... I know i drive myself crazy!!! For now with my current motor I plan to run between 6-8 psi. I would think that would put me around 600 fwhp. Then build another shortblock down the road for 15+ psi. Radcannon Nov 4th, 08, 02:10 PM at 600 flywheel hp you will have no problem with forged I beam rods and a cast crank. I wouldn't push much more than that though with a cast crank. |
