For a 383 I would up that 670 cfm carb. to a 770. :)

Have you got an air flow chart for those heads? Valve sizes? Nevermind, I found the specs.

423 HP @ 6,000 RPM and 440 TQ @ 4,500

Nice power curves, you're above 400 TQ from 3,000 to 5,500 RPM.

I have a very similar 383 with home ported TFS 215R heads
Comp 224/224 hyd. roller, 10.8:1comp. rpm intake and 750HP,
and 1 3/4" dyno headers it made 490hp @ 5900 and 495tq @ 4500.
I would think with more comp. and a better carb you should make about the
same power.

Any suggestions on a bigger/better carb.
BTW: The car is a 4 speed (m20), 12 bolt posi 3.73.

What's the redline gonna be? Unless you are gonna crank it to insane RPM, your current carb should be ok for now.
