I have a .030 over 454, 9.6 compression, Performer RPM Intake, Comp XE274H Cam with 230/236 duration @ .050 552/555 lift, Merlin Oval Port Heads that have been ported, AED HP950 Carb, Hooker Comp Headers. DUI Distributor with MSD 6AL Box. This is in a 67 Camaro Coupe with a Turbo 400 that has a 2400 brake stall/3200 flash converter, 9 inch rear with 350 gears. What kind of HP and torque should I be making? I was thinking of switching to Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Heads and a Voodoo Cam that has a part # of 60205. Would this be a good combo or should I go to a Roller setup. The car is a street car and will probably never see the strip.
Thanks for any assistance.

Really need to flow numbers for those heads. I'll run it with GM oval port open chamber heads that were pocket ported and bigger 2.19/1.88 valves installed. This will get you in the ballpark, but those Merlin heads should flow better than the ones I'm running, so these numbers will be low. I'd say you'll be close to 500 HP.

490 HP @ 5,500 and 520 TQ @ 4,000

Been thinking about getting those same headers. How do they fit? If you have power steering, do they clear the steering box ok?

If you decide to get oval port aluminum heads, might check out the AFR 265 Magnum heads. They flow great. With everything else the same except the heads: 531 HP @ 5,500 to 6,000 and 542 TQ @ 4,500 RPM. With more flow, you could jump to the next bigger cam and be close to 550 HP.
