Paddock, ecklers and npd all offer free catalogs if you go to their websites and order them. F-body warehouse has alot of parts but they are kind of pricey on some items. If you are looking for used parts you can find about anything on ebay motors under parts.

I'm also in So Cal and have a 71SS. For used parts, I have had great luck at the pick-a-parts, specifically the Ecology in Santa Fe Springs and the Pick-a-Part in Monrovia. There is just about always a second gen (Trans Am/Birds as well) or three at these yards. Most I see are years 75-81 but once in a while there is a 70-74 early second gen. Just be ready to get dirty.

For repop parts, drive down to Classic Industries in Huntington Beach. They carry just about the same parts as NPD, Paddock, etc, but you save on the ridiculous shipping fees these places charge.

Ebay is great as well.

I have used all three to purchase parts for my 71SS.

I just picked up a 71 SS, 4sp car all original drivetrain. The only thing that was changed out is the air cleaner and exhaust manifolds. Any chance you might have a line on either of these.

Along w/ the Ecology Parts there is also the Long Beach / Ecology Auto Parts swapmeets at the stadium near the LB airport.

Eckler's has been fantastic to deal with on our 72 rs camaro...
they have been around along time for corvettes ..just in recent yrs jumped onto camaros...
as i understand they bought rick's first gen camaro's...
classic industries has been around along time...as far as service after the sale, well i have not been impressed...
