I am restoring my 68 Camaro and I am currently working on the chassis, there is minor rust on it, just surface rust, however there are minor pits in it they are barely noticeable, however I would like it to be smooth, what is the best way work this out?

I did mine last summer. I had mine media blasted. On the deep pits, I used a glaze putty and sanded. For the bulk of the subframe, I used several coats of high build primer, hand sanding between coats. It took time as it was all hand sanding. After the final sanding, I sprayed it with a 80% black paint. It looks new. Check it out.

Thanks. The paint was a urethane and tough as nails. It's still on the driveway.
