I was in the Army, not a Marine, but I used to work for Gen Robert H. Barrow as a teen, right after his retirement. Heard rumor last night, and confirmed today that Gen Barrow passed away yesterday.
Gen Barrow served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Well decorated, firm in discipline, but a true gentleman, and a personal friend.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The Lord works in strange ways, He brought joy to my life one day, and took a friend the next, but Gen. Barrow is no longer suffering.
