After 2 years or so of missing my dog, she was 13 and her health went down hill (had to be put down), I still miss the big furry girl but I finally broke down and got a new dog... 12 week old Australian Sheppard (AKA: Aussie) Tuesday...here she is....

:thumbsup:Good choice, D. Kinda fills that hole in the heart...kinda. Another year or so, and we'll do the same as you. Life without animals just ain't the same.

I have a couple (male & Female) black and tan German Shepherds!.....In my opinion, they are the best breed!

Great looking puppy! Look out carpets, eh?:D

Know what you mean about missing your canine companion. My old yellow lab died unexpectedly a little over a year ago. She was 12 yrs. old. Really miss her when I'm out on the trails.

Good luck with the new addition.

Congrats.
It's a challenge having a puppy. You forget how much work it can be, but worth it for sure.
