View Full Version : Our farm from the roof pics
click Nov 2nd, 08, 03:57 PM I had a chance today in great weather for Nov. to snap some pics from the roof of the farm house going in a circle. You can see the smaller red garage where the Camaro is resting on the right.
Tomorrow supposed to be 65 degrees, then snow by the weekend. Oh well, its MinneSNOWta isnt it? :D

Everett#2390 Nov 3rd, 08, 04:40 AM Nice place. Is the little patch a cemetary, the one with a cross?
click Nov 3rd, 08, 07:50 AM LMAO Ev... I didnt notice that resemblence till you mentioned it, thats a bird bath in a small circle garden. Previous owners wife was from England, they married during WWII, he was in air force intelligence. She loves small circle gardens. There are 5 of them total spread around the house that you cant see in the pics. We will be centralizing them into one big 1/2 acre garden. Wife wants one section for flowers, separate section for vegetable garden area for corn, cucumbers, green beans, taters, etc. I will fence that area in and have separate water lines for soakers and sprinklers there. :)
clill Nov 3rd, 08, 09:10 AM Dude....Mail me a XMAS tree......
click Nov 3rd, 08, 09:13 AM Hey Clill, what are shipping charges for a 10' blue spruce to Calif? Or better yet, drive on up here and I will GIVE you a free one :D BUT you have to drive a vintage Camaro here, not a truck. ;)
There must be over 200 various pines in that plantation area they planted. Tamarack, Blue Spruce, Norway, White Pine (my fav.). They are growing fast too. They added about 14" this year alone.
Spitfire44 Nov 3rd, 08, 09:13 AM Land. We don't get much of that in California. I've got a 1.4 acre lot and thats big in my residential area. If I had that property I'd have even more cars, a dirt karting track, motorcross track. The possibilities would be endless.
click Nov 3rd, 08, 09:17 AM There is a 4wheeler trail about 1.5 miles long that winds thru the 17 acres, down to the Miss. River and all around inside the wooded area. I keep it mowed in summer and the deer use it all the time.
Ive never had this much land to live on, its truly amazing. Im very lucky to have gotten this in a tax deferred swap. :D love the IRS at times.

Do you really live in San Jose? 1.4 residential acres and it's not being sub-divided into 4000 sq ft lots with 3000 sq ft homes. You're not homeless and living in a park are you? ;) j/k, I do wish I was around here when is was possible to buy land at a reasonable price...
Everett#2390 Nov 3rd, 08, 09:53 AM LMAO Ev... I didnt notice that resemblence till you mentioned it, thats a bird bath in a small circle garden. :)Okay, bird bath - cool!
Mkelcy Nov 3rd, 08, 10:17 AM I envy you all the beauty and room, at least until the snow starts flying. Great pictures of a beautiful place.
