I have a 66 396 block that numbers say came out of an Impala. Standard bore but has light pitting in the cylinders. Can anyone tell me what it is worth and should I have it cleaned and bored [would I recoup the machine shop fees?] I also have 2 sets of heads, a pair of 990 heads and a pair of 292 heads, any Idea of what they are worth. I am considering taking them to the Moultrie show and wouldlike to know a value. Thanks

Can you post the full engine pad numbers (both sets) and the casting date on the side of the block? That will help. These blocks are somewhat common and there is a complete original 66 impala 396 engine on ebay right now only going for 500.
