I went to engage the parking brake and the cable housing pulled through the firewall. UGH!

I am considering a washer or some kind of reinforcement when I remove and reinstall it but has anyone else had this happen and if so, how did you deal with it?

Are you saying the body of the car is very rusted and came through????
Or that it just came through?

If it's OER don't bother buying another. I had 2 do exactly the same thing in about 20 pulls. I made one from a lokar kit and it's holding up great.

No not rusted through, but the housing (brand new cable and housing) pulled through where it comes through the firewall.
