Hey guys i have a real problem with my 91 iroc its a 305 tpi auto:(
when idling seems to be smooth and as i accelerate whether it be in park or driving it drops cylinders and there is i guess you would call it a barking sound coming from the intake manifold,as you step on it
ihave put new leads spark plugs dizzy cap and rotor button,and as i live in melbourne australia its not easy trying to find someone who can help,one other problem is anoying clunk coming from the rear end souds like the whole rear end is about to fall out ,new shocks and bushes haave been put on any help really would be gratefully app thanks

as far as the rear end, is it making a noise when you are accelerating from a dead stop??

As far as a barking sound from the intake manifold. The 305 and even it's bigger brother the 350 was notorious for intake manifold gaskets leaking particularly on the drivers side. Too hard to diagnose that over e-mail...You may also want to try www.thirdgen.org. I hand out there once in a while but rarely post there. Lots of good info and guys about third gen's.
