You are always better off selling a car yourself, use ebay if you have to. Then take the cash to the dealer for downpayment. The stealer will always try to give you nothing.

I own a 1969 RS/Z-28 Camaro and have ordered a 2010 RS/SS2 Camaro. No way would I trade my 69 for it. The 69 will keep it's value much better than the 2010 Camaro. The 2010 should be alot of fun tho.

Well, i'm getting very tired of not having the $$$ to build my car and the way things are looking i won't for a loooong while. I'm afraid that by the time i do, there won't be much left to build. I love my car but it needs WAY more attention than i can give it right now.
A fifth gen has more room for the son, i wouldn't have to carry a (large) toolbox everywhere, gets about twice the gas mileage, is easily faster, and is a hell of a lot safer.
I don't know, maybe i'm just in a funk because of all the white crap that keeps falling from the sky!

Where in WI are you located? May be interested if your considering selling it.

wheither that is a small block or a big block/auto or 4 speed,the pace car will be worth 60,000 to 100,000+ when restored.and in my opinion it looks a heck of alot better than the 5th gen.one day the 5th gens will be worth something but,as of now theyll just be a depreciating new car.please keep the pace car.just my cents.

Seriously..fix up the Pacer...wait till better times, and if still true to your inclination...sell it and go in with cash. They might be needing some postive cash flow at that time, eh?

Sorry I have been on the 5 gen Camaro site for the last couple months and didn't see your question.
I ordered a SS2/RS Victory Red with Black stripes and black interior (To match my 69 RS/Z-28 paint and interrior sceem) 6 speed man, short shifter and floor mats. I'm paying MSRP around $38,000. Oh and I ordered day 1 13 Oct 2008.
