According to MotorTrend, the 2010 Camaro planned to debut mid year 2009, is on hold. GM is reported to have the convertible off the table for a year or so as GM crawls out of their financial mess and returns to profitability.

That does not surprise me. Gives me more time to save up for one :D Hope GM can get it together and start selling cars again.

I hope those that have placed deposits will. A new one is on my wish list for 2011 purchase. I hope it can happen.

There is nothing in either of the links posted that says anything at all about the hardtop being on hold. All the info given pertains to the convertibles only unless someone has some new info that hasn't been mentioned here. This is how internet rumors get started.....

I've seen a few talking heads that say the future not looking too bright for the general, might not make it through next year, that's what I was refering to.

Correct. As of today hardtop is on schedule.
Convertible was planned to be about a year behind the coupe hardtop from the start, not sure how much of an additional delay, if any to exepect.

I haven't heard anything "official" on it being delayed (verts, that is). I wouldn't doubt it with the way the car sales are right now. Would be neat to see them on the road!
