Take a look on E-pay and you will find them around $500. I paid that for my working 67 M20 that cost me another $900 to completely rebuild the thing. Buying a used tranny and not knowing it's history is a crap shoot at best. My .02

I know a guy in Knoxville who was rebuilding them. He would either rebuild yours, or rebuild one of his for you. I agree with Joe....buying one without knowing what you are getting is a crap shoot. I bought a M21 from a 442, and took it to him to rebuild. He rotated it by hand, and his first comment was, "What's that clunking sound?" Turned out it was cheaper to buy a rebuilt unit from him...he even had a case that was coded Norwood, and close to my VIN.

If you want his number, let me know.

Thanks. Mine is out of MY car and works well. I put in a tko600. Just wanted to know what it's worth if I decide to sell it. A dilemma whether or not to sell a matching trans.. It's not like I'm using it. I changed to get a better freeway cruise out of it with the rearend gears i have. and it worked. Guess I should keep it huh?

Keep if original, you'll never get it back....

JMO, but if the engine is the original, I'd certainly find a spot somewhere in my garage for the matching tranny. If the original motor is long gone, and you've converted the car to pro street, no real loss if you sell the tranny.

You can get a brand new Autogear 4 Speed muncie, depending on what configuration for 1700-2000+shipping. If you decide to go this route talk to Jody, of Jodys tranmissions here on TC. He built mine.
