Just talked to Retrotek and it appears they are phasing out there powerinjection 1 systems and going to powerinjection 3 systems. The new systems will have the Electronic control box intergrated into the throttle body rather then remotly mounted some where else in the car. You will still be able to use your stock air cleaner and such.
Since they closing out there old systems they are on sale. I wanted to by a 1200cfm system for my 502/502 crate engine but they only have 3 1200cfm systems left and there are black which I do not want.
They said I could use there 750cfm system and upgrade the injectors to 75# and it would work fine as there 750cfm system actually flows 930cfm even tho they are advertised as 750cfm.
The new powerinjection 3 systems wont be available until March of 09 but only the 750cfm units and the 1200cfm units will be available in the fall of 09. They again said if I wanted to wait for the new design in march they would just upgrade the injectors to 75#.
So what would you do?? What would you buy??
I would really like to stay with the Retrotek system as it appears to be as close to a factory "Block learn System" available on the market.
Any and all advise is greatly welcome. Thanks.
