several months back, orderd some front disc brakes from Ricks first Gen. I got the Right stuff, Standard Disc Conversion kit... I now want to go 4 wheel disc brakes. I see a lot of guys going with Baer or Wilwood, but they're very expensive as you know. Any thoughts on RIGHT STUFF 4 wheel disc brakes? Any other companies I should be looking at? (motor: 383 stroker/ 68 Camaro, Tremec TKO 5 speed)

The Right Stuff is good quality parts. I've toured their shop in the past and was very impressed. That is who I use for brake parts.

The owner, Dave, is a huge Camaro nut, as well... he has several first gens in his garage.

I agree with Steve. I have also been to their shop and saw Dave's cars. I got all my brake lines from them; they fit perfectly.

thanks guys, that's good to hear. tell Dave to come on here and post some pics of his Camaros.

QUESTION 2: what is the threshold on wheather to go with 4 wheel disc brakes vs. front disc/rear drum? I will not be racing this car; however, I would like to
drive it 'cross country next spring so I will be hitting freeway speeds.

A lot of it is appearance, and wheel / tire choice.
The 9" drums looked darn near funny inside my 17" Cragars.
The 12" wilwood's on all 4 corners command considerable respect and mucho comments.

Most cars used front disc and rear drums from the early 70's through the 90's. If your front disc and rear drum setup is in good working condition, you'll have no problem with a cross country trip.

Small world, I have kin folks in Wooster.

I have right stuff power discs on the front of mine and they fit perfect and work awesome. I still have drums on the back. I cant imagine needing anymore stopping power.
