I am getting ready to bolt on a new intake and exhaust to my stock two barrel 350 small block. I want performance but will only hit the track once or twice a year. Mostly street fun on nice days.

I don’t know much about selecting cams. I was thinking about going with a Crane cam.

I will be bolting on the following items to go with a new cam:
Edelbrock 750CFM carb w/K&N
Edelbrock airgap performer RPM
1 1/5" headers
Flowmaster American Thunder system

Any cam recommendations would be helpful. I will also be changing out the lifters when I do the cam swap.

need more info, like compression ratio, trans(auto or stick), rear-end gears...
you'll get responses after you post that info. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I currently have a 2.73 10 bolt rear with a turbo 350 auto trans (soon to be a turbo 400).
The motor is all stock/original now.

I have all of the parts in my garage except for the cam.

Keep the TH350. The TH400 will slow you down because it takes more HP to rotate the heavier guts and the 1st gear ratio is less than the TH350!! I would sell or send back that carb & intake while they're NEW!! You can get the performance you need from a truck or Impala cast iron quadra jet intake and carb. They do work. I've had them in the past and have witness countless 67 Camaro Stock Eliminators run 10.80's with them!!! Spend that money on other stuff!! Now for cam choices :D If you want a somewhat choppy idle use something like a Comp. Cams# 12-238-2. Now for a more matched up cam choice #12-234-2 graemlins/beers.gif

If you bought those things already dont sweat it too much. I gather you just want a strong cruiser, and not a perfectly matched combo. However, if you decide to send back the intake or carb, i got some cash for ya to ship it over to california! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The comp cams 260H is a real sweet cam in a 2.73-3.08 geared vehicle with a low compression 350. I have used it many times...it is definately one of my favorites.
