it has the original silver grille ...

he keeps on saying it is 99% complete but then the ENTIRE drivetrain has been replaced, no 12 bolt, no orig trans or shifter, no orig engine, no orig manifold, no orig dist, etc, etc

it IS neat to see another black cushion rim steering wheel car:

The worth depends on what you are planning for it. To make it a a non-numbers car with original parts will be expensive. Maybe more that it will be worth. At $10K price now you could have $35 - 40K in it before you are done to have a nice car. If it is for you to enjoy and keep it could be worth putting the $30K for future investment. It depends where non-numbers cars are heading in the future. Or you could build a modern 302, install a 5 speed and do a protouring build still have a real Z/28 (tag looks real), but modernized. I would not put anything other than a 302 of some sort in the car. All of this is JMHO.

Actually no reserve, not low reserve.

I look at these post assuming the poster wants to make sure a good deal doesn't get away, not that they have a vested interest in the sale. In this case he runs the risk of having someone on here in a bidding war with him.

Nope not the seller, I guess reserve was the wrong phrase. Price just seems low and could be a great deal. If it goes over 15k, its out of my league

You made me suspicous lol. Seems like you could get a car in better condition for less than the cost of a restoration now.

"1ST OFF REAL RS Z28 PROOF"......and........"-REAL RARE UNTOUCHED"..... and the best of all......."RUNNING, SHOP/NON CURRENTLY WORKING CLUTCH LINKAGE CAR"....still trying to figure out how a person's mind can put those words together to express a point.....how about " BARN/FIELD FIND. IF YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A RARE REAL BARN FIND PROJECT 69 Z/28 THIS IS THE ONE"......barn find implies a vehicle was kept inside and unweatherized(ie rusted/rotted).......seller says its a DZ car when the original DZ engine is gone...... salt roads must have been terrible for factory quarters to have lasted less than the initial 8 years of the cars life........one must consider today's economy in trying to calculate "a worth".....and consider that so many people are bringing stuff out of hiding because of the economy and that the next great deal is just around the corner.......Be Well all and Protect That Investment! Chuck.

I been watching ebay endlessly. I want to find a nice Z, already in good shape. I posted it on the wanted adds in TC, but no responces. Ither there are none for sale or the economy is not as bad as it seems???

How in the world does this kind of a car end up out side and left to rust.

easy

it was "just" a rusty old car back then that wouldn't move

the cars rusted BAD back in the salt zones

I started buying /owning 69 Camaros in 1974 and half of them I looked at I deemed "junk" back then, and they didn't have to sit outside for 20 years to get that way

cars were rusty within 3 years if they were driven all year

if you look at the feedback of this ebayer, looks like he sold the same yellow Z/28 using the wrong pictures for $9K and got good feedback on it. Then he sold the car again using the right pictures for $13.5K ?

He also sold other project Z/28s
