Thanks for posting the thread. Our Company is Nickey Chicago, Inc. We are currently not a New Car Chevrolet Dealer.

We will be converting the 2010, 5th Generation Camaro, into Stage I, II or III Super Car Conversions.

Stephano Bimbi is the CEO, he bought the rights to the name and the ability to make continuation cars if I have it right. Also part of the company is the only performance manager Nickey chevrolet had , I think his name is Paul something. Maybe someone else can fill in the blanks.

The Nickey Chevrolet Dealership closed in 1973. The Nickey Chicago Speed shop and Super Car Conversion Company Closed its doors in 1977.

I started the New Nickey Chicago Inc. Company.

Don Swiatek started working for Nickey Chevrolet in 1952, right out of High school. He opened and Managed the first true "dealership" speed shop and dealership conversion company in 1966. He was the one and only, Hi-Performance Cars and Parts Manager, to have ever worked at Nickey Chevrolet. He was involved with all of the Conversion "Nickey" Cars, which he and his team of 4 Master Technicians designed, built and then sold to the public, as Nickey Super Cars.

Don Swiatek has been an integral part of our project Since the inception.

Ronnie Kaplan, of RKE was the main hired Gun and Crew Chief, for most of the famous Nickey Road race Cars. There were many. Here are some.

The Dan Blocker Vinigaroon

The Charlie Hays Vinigaroon II

The Nickey Scarab.

The Nickey Cooper. (Just like a King Cobra with a Chevy engine)

The Nickey SR2 Corvette

The Nickey Purple People Eater, 1958 Corvette

The Nickey Nouse, 1963 Z06 Corvette

Ronnie was Nickey's direct Contact to Zora Duntov and GM Engineering. He had been working with GM since the 1950s.

Ronnie has also been involved with our Company and our projects since day one!

Bill Thomas Race Cars was one of the Best known and respected Engine builders on the West Coast. He was also one of GMs "back door" we are not into racing, covert operations agents. They became the West Coast distribution arm for Nickey speed parts as well as Nickey Camaro Super Car Conversions. Bill Thomas Race Cars also designed many special Hi-Po parts for Nickey Chicago.

A very significant 2002 Nickey / Bill Thomas 4th Generation Camaro was built. It is one of one and was designed to be the Ultimate 4th Generation Nickey Camaro, Street Super Car. It has over 1,000 hp at the rear wheels. It goes 0-60 in just over 3 sec and will run all day at 200 mph. Bill Thomas III, who is an active NASCAR Crew Chief and engine builder, made certain the Lemans winning C5R 427ci race Motor would be up to the task!

The Bill Thomas family has continued to lend their Support for our project and may build some of the LS7 Engines for our current project.

Also, the descendents and heirs of the Stephani family (They were the owners of the Nickey Enterprise from 1925 until it finally close in 1977) have provided their approval for our project.

We also have other families and individuals, from the original Nickey Chevrolet involved and supporting our project.

This is a True "Continuation" car program. We are blessed, in that we are able to have many of these Key players involved with our project.

If you need more info about the 2010 Nickey Camaro Super Car, you can contact our Sales Manager, Dennis Barker at 616-204-6066.

Yes, I purchased the legal Trade Marks and other Intellectual Properties for Nickey.

The rest is like a puzzle, you'll have to figure it out based on the info I provided. Ronnie has at least few Years on Don. You'll be able to get real close.

Both are still active with Hi-Performance Cars, on many levels.

???????????????

I am not sure why the mystery. Makes you sound like a used car salesman. Maybe you can explain the reasoning behind the mystery?
I did not think I was asking a controversial question???
I just did a search that puts Don at 89 or a little older. I could not find Ronnie's age yet. He has to be older.

"Don Swiatek started working for Nickey Chevrolet in 1952, right out of High school."

I was just trying to be facetious.

You are correct, I am a just a used car Salesman.

Don’t get your underwear in a bundle. Some of us were at the show and very excited about what we saw. (I was!) The excitement, (which is what you want), is going to generate a lot of questions. I personally gave 3 of your posters away to serious car guys. One of these guys swears he is going to buy one of your Camaro’s when they are available. He can afford it. I would be happy to give you his name and let you talk to him. You are going to get a lot of questions about Nickey here on this web sight also. Apparently some you like and some you don't like. That is because there is so much interest. And you are correct, that these “printed threads” don’t always let us all come across the way we (you) want. Fortunately, I don’t have to market this product. You do!

WOW if your ever felling like giving away a 4th gen to a guy that would really like to have one let me know and I'll take that one!!

Where was the smoke coming from in that video?

I put one of your 5th gens as background on the home computer. Would truly love to own one but will never be able to afford it. That's why people call them dream cars. Only some of us can dream of owning one.....that's how it goes though!! I hope you sell lots of them!!

I have the same question as you Oncea3Fan...this may be wishful thinking, but I am hoping to make my own (or hope for an authentic) retro Yenko. This may be insane. But, I have always wanted to own a 1st generation Yenko and will never have the money to do it. Maybe I can afford a new one...even if I build my own? Has anyone heard of a potential Yenko (yes, it is a longsot!)?

Happy Holidays,

My father owned and raced the Nickey Nouse, 1963 Z06 Corvette in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I first met Ron Kaplan when I was about 10 years old - and I am now 51 years old. My father is a month short of 78 - and is a few years younger than Ron. I saw Ron at this years (2009) Road America Brian Redman vintage race - for the first time in many years. He looked to be in great health! Everything described above fits my memory exactly.

Ronnie had come up to Road America to visit friends and help us promote our new Super Camaros, we had three of them there. He hadn't been to R.A., in a while. I learned that he met his wife at Road America, which I thought was neat.

Do you have any pics of the Z06 while you and your dad were racing it?
