I have a 1967 camaro 350 p/glide drum brakes allround (unboosted) p/s have replaced every moving part in front suspension & steering (twice!!) has 20 x 8.5 on rear & 18 x 8 on front.front tyres are 225 x 35 x 18 now the car tracks allover the road on uneven road (badly) has had more wheel aliginments than i can count & they keep telling me thats is it!! Because of wheel size there is no way around this proplem & yes this is one of the best wheel aligners in town. Please any help would be great as i love this car to bits but this just does my head in!!!:( cheers kabrka

I have similar sized wheels. My car wouldn't track straight when I first got it and it was horrible when I'd go over bumps. I wound up changing the steering box to one out of an early 80's z/28 (fast ratio box) and the problem went away.
Try posting over at pro-touring.com too. A lot more guys there run bigger wheels. What tires are on the bigger wheels? I've heard that drag radials are worse than street tires as far as following the lines & grooves in the road.

Can you give us more info?
Length of Pitman arm and idler arm?
Length and/or casting numbers of the steering arms on the spindles?
The alignment specs from the printout I assume you got from your last alignment?
Power steering or manual, and which box (if you know)?
Large diameter wheels with wide low profile tires can certainly make a 1st gen handle weird if everything else is not right, but there are lots of cars out there like this and with the right combo of steering parts and alignment, it should be better. Mismatched combinations of steering arms and pitman/idler can add to the problem, so let's figure out what you're working with and go from there.

Seem like narrow tires for those rims. Check with the manufacturer. 8 inch should be 235-255 and 8.5 245-265

a buddy of mine had a 67 with some bigger aftermarket wheels like you got... said the same thing happened, the car tracked ruts in the road awful, was a handful to drive. put a bigger sway bar on and said that helped a ton. maybe a beefier sway bar might help? not a suspension expert, just passing on what he found to help.

I gotta say that the 1st place I woulda looked was at the rag-joint! AND then the S/G/B itself being flat wore out!
You ever drive a vehicle that had 1/4 a turn steering wheel play in it at speed!!!
What a trip!! I used a tractor knuckle-buster steering wheel spinner!
