I have converted my steering box over to a 3rd gen box. Love the feel. I am having trouble with the pump I think. After 30 minutes of driving or so, all the fluid sprays out of the pump from the cap. The fluid is all milky looking. If I refill the pump it works fine. The motor runs about 3000 rpm down the highway which is where it is happening. Too much rpm? Too much heat? bad pump? Any ideas?

I doubt it's your pump. It sounds like the system was never toatally beld of all of the air. The "milky" look is most likely aerated PS fluid. Put the front end up on stands, and with the motor off, turn the wheel lock to lock about a million times (JK - but sometimes it takes a long time) Fill it to the proper cold level and see what happens after a couple hundred miles.
