I talked a guy tonight that was my dad's buddies friend that has a 69 that is original with a 327 and a auto that he might sell. He said there is some rust in the fenders and he has owned since 1984. I think I might be able to buy it,, very carefully. I think isi original and I have not seen it. He says it runs strong. Off the cuff i am thinking 2500 -3000. It also has AC........... What do you guys think?

Butterflies in the stomach can be a concern.

I agree with the good luck
So much depends on the car's condition, options, born with engine, etc. like the air blows cold, engine runs sweet, etc....
So, depending on the aforementioned the car could be worth much more than the 2500-3000 figure your threw out. That figure would be more toward the lower worst case figure IMO. An original car might have some rust in the fenders but overall might be in pretty good shape. Best bet is see the car and communicate back more precise information so members much better equipped than me can give you a value.
Again good luck,
:beers:

Good point, Chick, never thought of suggesting the numbers from the trim tag or a picture of it decoding for originality/recipe.

Pretty much any running 69 Camaro is worth atleast $3000. There may be a few exceptions in existence.

It's not too hard to find 2,500 in salvage parts on such a car. A set of seats, A/C brackets, maybe a good door and some glass and your just about there.

I bought a complete original hugger car for 7500 in March. I need to acquire this one cheaper since I have spent so much money lately...

I forgot to tell you guys, its a column shift automatic with 327. I am thinking that would be a powerglide car. I guess it could be a 3 speed auto with a higher horse 327. Hope to see it shortly.

Only PG's came with SBC. BBC's got THM400. I had a '67 column shift, loved it, D for DRAG, very consistent in shifting itself at the same place/rpm every time.

Pictures would be awesome!

I had floor shifted 350 trans in three of the five cars I've owned all SBC, never seen a column shifted three speed auto. I'm talking 69's not sure about Everett.

Only PG's came with SBC. BBC's got THM400. Wrong info here, lots of 69 small block cars came with the turbo 350.
You have to sift though the threads to get correct info. Sounds like the car is worth up to $5000.00 easy.

I went and saw the 69 Camaro today. The guy says he doesn't really want to sell it. He said he would sell his house though! I respected that. Anyways I told him to keep my name and number if he decides to sell it. It is an interesting car. It had the original 327 in it (210). He put fuelie heads on it, slid a cam in, put an intake and headers on it (years ago). He saved all the original motor parts. He says it runs really strong, we did not drive it though. The car has dark blue vinyl interior. It also has two-tone paint(1% of cars)! Dover white on top and glacier blue on the rest of the car. The car needed to be painted, it was primered but really straight. It needed some small rust issues to be fixed, over the rear fenders. It has working AC, and it has a factory( he says) TH-350 trans. It has a column shift auto. Anybody know how many column shift autos there were? It had a posi rear put in it, the original rear was gone. The interior was pretty decent, the driver seat had a split in the bottom. What do you guys think the car would be worth? 8-10k? I am kind of hoping he might sell the car instead of the house!

My '67 RS is a 327 (355 now) with a factory TH350.

That's too bad but maybe he'll change his mind and give you a call?

In your post you said:

"small rust issues"

That really got me to thinking that we should start a thread of Camaro oxymorons.:D

.....here's my Camaro oxymoron..........

..............."excellent condition for a project car". If it was in excellent condition, it wouldn't be a "project car"

8-10K seems high. I'm thinking 6K in the current market.

My car started life as a s/b (350 or 307, not sure) with a column shift TH350. Now it's a 427/425 with M21!
