Hi the fuel return line on my 69 Camaro is plugged at the fuel tank end,can anyone help with some photos or a description of how this line is supposed to be terminated at the fuel tank.
I assume its plumbed back into the tank or filler area.
The tank in the car has been replaced and I don't see any obvious location for the return pipe.
Were the lines only a vapour return line and was this only to help starting? or was it for pollution requirements

the return setup was only for cars with Qjet 4 barrel carbs to help in returning unused fuel and vapor to the tank. The float assembly in a dual line setup has 2 bibs on the piece that twists into the top of the tank along with the fuel guage tab. If you dont have that float assembly for the dual line, you start there. :)

Thanks for prompt reply,I will check to see I have the bib on the fuel float assembly.
I haven't heard the term bib before,I take that it refers to a nipple the rubber pipe goes over

I checked the float assembly it only has the pipe for the outlet, was the return outlet a similar pipe?

rick's camaro sells them part#FT-34 64.99 each also there is a short peice of rubber hose that goes between the steel sender pipes and the steel pipes fastened to the inside of your frame

Murray this pic shows my dual lines, they both have hoses attached to them. The new float pickup will have them all in place to attach to your dual lines that follow the frame. :)
