What were the months that defined an early, mid, & late 69 Camaro?

My rides cowl tag says it's 01A.
Which I read as 1st week January 1969.

Dash Vin #124379L514974
Chevy Camaro V8 Coupe 1969 Los Angles 69 model car #14,974 off production line?

I know the original 10 bolt axle was cast 10/5/68 with a final construction date of 12/20/08
So if I under stand this correctly. This car actually had a lot of parts built in 68? This being the case, then what months (when to when?) would one think were actually date correct to this time frame?

I assume about 2 to 4 months before final production is somewhat accurate?

Actually, the time between the cast date and build date on your 10 bolt is somewhat long. Most dated parts are between 1 week, and 2 months of car build date. LOS did not build as many cars as NOR, so the time stretches out. I would say anything from early October to mid December is OK.

Your other question has no exact definition, as they are relative terms, (like old vs young :) ) But generally, Cars built in 68 are early, as there were several changes that took effect in late December-early January. Cars built in the extended model year are generally considered late (August through November)
