Well I have know the owner of a 1968 RS/SS 396 th400 since I was born. As a kid I always loved her car and she has swore that I would be the only one she would sell it to. She has owned this car since 1971 or so. the car is un-restored and still runs and drives. It needs a few things due to being stored since 1992 and only taken out a few times a year...just to keep the juices flowing!
Here is some details:
1968 RS/SS
396/325hp
th400
Lemans blue w/white vinyl top and white SS stripe
Parchment Deluxe interior
What is this car worth? It is a pretty solid car but it was her daily driver for 21 years.

25K ? Nice color combo. I put 25K based on it being a good car that is kinda needing resto. My estimate would go up if it is orig paint that can be saved etc. Need more details. Pics..

Does she have all of the original documentation or at least some of it? Is so that can really add to the value of the car. If you are talking a car that is in need of a complete resto I would offer 22K. In that situation both you and the owner are getting a fair deal on a nice car.

She has always told me $10,000 is the price for me. It is in need of a trunk floor due to the fact that the last year that she drove it she had left a sand bag in the trunk and it had a trunk leak. There is also some small bubbling in the quarters. The interior is in good shape. the vinyl top is still in good shape. She had it repainted in the early 80's a darker ford blue. I will try and find the pictures she sent me and post them up.

I don't see this car being worth as much as the others have stated. If it was a daily driver for 21 years it is going to needs lots of work. I think it may be worth $15K if it has the original block. $10K is a good deal, particularly if it is the car you always wanted.

That is more what I was thinking. I have restored 1 69 and 3 67's and am currently working on a 71 with the build sheet and protecto plate. I never keep them when I am done because I am searching for one just like hers. The color combo is just not easy to find.
