While looking over the Jegs site, I found this:
3" exhaust (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=169646&prmenbr=361)

Anyone run this? For $179 less mufflers, it doen't sound too bad.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Virgil

Read the details, you need to do some light body work to use that exhaust...

click on this link for some pics and details of the system. (http://pypesexhaust.com/compare.html)

btw, the pics are from the A-body system but I'm pretty sure everything would remain the same except for the tailpipes.

i'd skip that exhaust. the place that makes it is 30 miles from me, and i've had the honor of helping to install 3 different exhaust kits from that place- a 2.25 kit on a 71 Monte Carlo, a 2.5" kit on a 66 Chevelle, and a 2.25" kit on an 87 Chevy 3/4 ton 4X4- and none of them fit right. the truck was the easiest, but only because the pipes are 2 feet off the ground. the Chevelle and Monte required some trimming to get the pipes to tuck up somewhat close, and being that each side has 4 pieces plus a muffler, just getting everything to line up well enough to get the clamps on was a bit of a challenge. all of the slip joints were waaaay loose, so that made it even more fun.pay a few extra $$$ up front and get a good kit. you'll end up spending the same amount once you pay someone to make it fit, and the good kits will have thicker pipes that won't rust out so fast.

I have the Flowmaster AT kit. I'm very happy with it even if the ricers and neighbors aren't. :D
Flowmaster is making a kit for the Chevelles now in 3" , so I think the Camaro isn't too far off.Wish I could have waited but...just couldn't.
