: Billet Gas Fller News?
ROBS6T8 Nov 28th, 08, 03:55 PM Hello guys and gals, I'm looking for any news on the billet gas cap. I was told to wait until SEMA was over. I looked at the SEMA website and didn't see anything promising. Does anyone know of or heard of anything? I googled it and came up with a SS cap that someone could steal easily for 189.00!! I think you know the one I'm looking for.... "BD PENY" The billet filler website isn't working anymore. Thanks in advance for any info.

tejasrs/ss Dec 2nd, 08, 02:28 PM thanks for the link! Yikes! I guess I'll put that on my "wish" list..wish it was cheaper! lol :o
Joe Harrison Dec 2nd, 08, 03:59 PM That's really not a bad deal. I have sourced the parts to build one and it's about $125.00 for parts that will get you a "put together" look VS a custom install. The cap is the cheap and easy part, the billet tube connecting to the tank is what your paying for. Problem is I would have jumped at 1 two years ago but now I have other plans. I really still like the look and will get one sometime next year after the car is on the road and I need a locking cap, until then I don't need one and my plans for back there are very simple now and will look trick once completed! Problem is my cap is not going to lock!!
ROBS6T8 Dec 2nd, 08, 09:28 PM Okay guys, I don't know if I should post this but I will. If you belong to the pro-touring site, you can order one for $200.00!! I thought the $250 was pricey, but was expecting a price around that. When I saw the promo for the pro touring members, I couldn't resist. You have to order it by the 1st of Jan. You also have to put "pro-tour forum" in the promo box to get the $50.00 price cut. They'll also have black anodized available. They'll (Bret) will be able to send out 25 before Christmas. Who knows how many have been ordered. The rest will be shipped out in Jan. I'm so excited about this. I've been waiting ever since I heard about it after Steve's "Bad Penny". I hope I didn't piss anyone off about this.

ProdigyCustoms Dec 3rd, 08, 04:36 AM I was lucky enough to get a Pre production filler last year for Project EmptyNest. I liked the cap so much we sectioned a filler opening from a 67/68 Camaro tailpanel into the Firebirb tailpanel.
It is a super high quality piece and worth every penny. I get tons of compliments on it.

ROBS6T8 Dec 3rd, 08, 08:29 AM Hey Frank, I see that you have a Pro Touring tech info of some sort. How do I go about looking into that? I'll have to get up at 5 for that one!

Adam, they will be vented. There will be a fitting to attach a vent hose and/or a vent valve. That was a big concern for the guys on Pro Tour and they fixed the problem. Anyone will be able to use it, stock or fuel cell guys.
