Here are a couple of Prostreet reference books.

1) Super Chevy's Nova Handbook A comprehensive how-to-book compiled by the editors of Super Chevy Magazine. Subjects include how-to articles on every facet of modifying and restoring Chevy Novas built between 1963 and 1972. Featured parts include engines, drivetrains, suspension, interiors, and body

2) Dave Morgan, Door Slammers The Chassis Book

3)There is a bunch of How-to articles in the back of Chassisworks catalog.

Plus there is some good info in this book:

Tony Huntimer, How to Build & Modify GM Pro-Touring Street Machines

Know of any other good books out there?

When I did my car about 17 years ago the only book out was the book from Dave Morgan. I used to have it but loaned it to a friend and never got it back.

I did a few searches, but found mostly video games and import sites. The import guys seem to be adopting the term.

I did find this book at Amazon, but it looks like they only get it used from time to time as it is out of print.

Pro street machines (Paperback)
Paperback: 95 pages
Publisher: Peterson Pub. Co (1982)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 0822722585
ISBN-13: 978-0822722588

I may try to library loan it.

I try to buy books that may have good info and more often than not, they end up saving me time and/or money.

Here are some of the books on boost that I have bought:

Street Supercharging, A Do-It-Yourself Guide To
by Pat Ganahl
STREET SUPERCHARGING is the hottest book about today's
hottest performance topic. For brute horsepower, nothing can
equal a high-winding supercharged engine, and this quality book
is the definitive reference of modern supercharging science. From
basic design and selection to hands-on installation tips, this
easy-to-read book explores many types and brands of
superchargers. Technical and practical advice from top experts is
included in every chapter. Includes listing of blower and accessory
manufacturers.

This book is the one that turned me off Nitrous, it spends a fair amount of time listing all the failure modes:

Supercharging, Turbocharging and Nitrous Oxide Performance (Motorbooks Workshop) (Paperback)
by Earl Davis (Author), Diane Davis (Author)

And this one has a lot of theory if anyone wants that. Myself, I ignored the theory, but still got some good info from it,

Supercharged! Design, Testing and Installation of Supercharger Systems (Paperback)

by Corky Bell (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?%5Fencoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books&field-author=Corky%20Bell)

I've got the Dave Morgan Book & videos also.

Jerry Bickel has a good book on chassis & suspension tuning for those serious about 1/4 mile stuff.

Street Supercharging by SA Designs is a very good book for someone looking to learn the basics about superchargers.

.......What about specific chassis books, i.e. "How to back half a car" or "Installing a 4 Link Suspension". Where could I find some books like that???

The Nova handbook at the top of the thread does just that. All Chris Alston parts and done in Chris Alstons shop.

Check out the back of his catalog on line, it has a few how-to articles.

I'd like to find more books.

If you buy SW racecar back-half kits, some of them align with the factory frame, you weld it in and cut off the factory frame when you got it spotted.
