I would appreciate hearing from anyone who removed their center dash clock, explaining the steps, how long it took you, what to watch out for etc. I am planning on sending it to Clock Works to be restored.
A special thank you to Gary L. who sent me his tip for disconnecting the negative terminal to prevent clock burnout if the car is not driven enough!
Thanks guys!

Using a tiny screw driver, undo the screw in the stem. Remove the tiny knob as well. Undo the 2 screws on the top of the plastic bezel and remove the bezel. You get on your back on the driver side floor well. You have to reach in with a small socket on a driver handle (like a nut driver), not sure of the size. Begin to loosen the hex head screws and when loose enough, reach up and undo them with your fingers.

When you are re installing the clock, use masking tape to tape the screw to the driver. Insert the screw and tighten. The masking tape will then pull off the screw. If you don't tape the screw to the driver, it is almost a shoe in you will lose the screw.

Thanks Alan for your quick reply-from what you said I take it that the dash pad does not have to be removed??

Absolutely not. Dash pad stays. You can feel the 2 bezel screws with your fingers. They are just phillips head screws.
