Based on the assem. Manual 1970 has three brackets that mount on the top of the door. The middle bracket appears to hold the window in place and act as a mount for the door panel. The other two brackets act only as door panel mount brackets. I am wondering if the middle bracket is the same bracket used on the 75-76 camaro. It appears from my junk yard search that after 73 camaro used cushion brackets for all 3 mounts. I have not found an original 70 to determined what bracket was used for the middle. The later model cushioned bracket seems incorrect for the middle 1970 bracket???? Does anyone have part numbers to compare the years? Thanks for your help

The center Bracket for the 70 is specific and used to mount the Arm Rest or what could be described as the Pocket Grip to close them big heavy doors; but, it is nothing more then something like a 1 1/4" X 1 1/4" and something like 6" long piece of 1/8" 90 degree pressed angle. I would imagine light angle iron could easily be substituted.
