When I purchased this car it had a stripe that looked like a half bumble bee, that came back toward the front wheel opening and stopped.
I am the second owner and the car was in original paint.

68 convertible, white top , dark green paint, white stripe , ivy gold interior, 327/275hp, basically a plain jane but, custom wheel, console( with clock), power steering, a few other items that make it look like the dealer or original owner did selective ordering of options.

Would this paint stripe have continued back to the rear edge of the door?

Was it paint or a decal?

What's the build date of the car?
That's the D91 stripe, optional on any car, included on SS. It started production in mid-year 68.

Stripe was paint in front of the wheelwell, sticker after the wheelwell. Stripe ended about 5" forward of the rear edge of the door.

Now the question is- Are these stickers available ? I would prefer paint, if I painted would this be detrimental to the concept of restored?
