This is a question for anyone who has installed a vintage air sure fit system in their '67 or '68:
Did the bottom half of the supplied glove box have the front section (which would go between the dash and the glove box hinge) cut out of it ? I noticed that the glove box in my kit (that I bought several years ago but never installed) did not match the drawing of the glove box in the instructions, which had the three holes in the front bottom.
I contacted Vintage Air; they told me that my part was correct, and that the drawing on the instructions was wrong. They said that the one hole in each side of the flange around the glove box opening in the dash was all that was supposed to hold the glove box in. I know that this thing is not meant for lots of storage, but it seems like it would be awfully flimsy !
It is obvious that the section was cut out by hand, and not made that way. I can't guess why they would have done this, and not use that section to help support the box ? Thanks, Ron.
