SB (basically stock) with Perfromer intake. Can't seem to get stock alternator bracket to work. Put one of those chrome brackets that doesn't bolt to the waterneck, bolts through intake into head, and it works. I'm wanting the stock look, any suggestions?

Is your performer intake an air gap?

You may just need to do some creative bending of the tab that bolts at the water neck.

It's not the air gap. Was apprehensive about bending anything because of belt alignment issues. Someone said that a later model bracket may work, 78 - 85?
