People are dumb, bailing could easily turn a fender bender into a fatality. After she bailed she ran in front of the next car about to hit her. What if she had slipped during that moment? I guess she was a canidate for a Darwin award. :beers:

I never lost anything in Florida.....

No reason to go back there.....

When my sister lived there, she would call when she was worried about hurricanes.....

I told her to visit friends in Tennessee.....

She said she didn't have any friends in Tennessee.....

I told her "It's about time you make some"..... :D

I live in Deep south texas and I wish It would snow here.

Im so ready to leave this place and live somewhere where I can see the seasons change. We have Green trees year round, Palm trees that pop out of cracks in the cement. yes I have a Pool too and I was cleaning it too but the water is too cold for me.

We just got that cold front 2 or 3 days ago and it droped us down to the 40's and today it was around 75 and tomorrow it should be 83 and sunday 85. Nothing says Christmas like 85 degree weather.

Have you ever picked out a Tree at a tree lot /example/ home depot, and all you see are brown dried out trees and your sweating searching thru a pile to find the best one.?? The real Grinch in you comes out

Well it is finally snowing here. Had a bit last wekend, but so far there is about 17-20 cm on the ground. High temp for tomorrow is -24C (11 below F) with more snow. Wind chill for Saturday and Sunday is -40C , that is ccccccold on either scale (-40C = -40F).

The funny thing is that Calgary & many other cities don't plow residential roads. We just wait for the chinook to come along and melt everything. Gotta love my AWD Subaru with the Michelin winter tires. If the cold & snowy weather lasts too long the Airdrie city crew piles the snow up in a big row down the centre of the street.

I just hope the snow lasts a while. I'm eager to get back on the slopes:hurray::beers:

Ted, I know you really miss this climate!!

Cheers,

Paul :bbers:

I will tell you what!!

You ain't lived until you've shoveled 24" of snow off a new RR right of way for a week so you could space ties by hand to be able to lay RR steel track!

Up at Runnels, IA back in the winter of '66/'67! Average was 9 below that week if I remember right?? And on Tuesday morning, it was 25 below by temp!! Then warmed up to 12 below on Wed. noon!

You talk about a hoot and my old RR Buddy was right there w/ me b/c the Steel Gang had arrived!!

How deep south are ya?...I'm in Nashville, plenty warm in the summer,4 clearly defined seasons, some snow but not obnoxious and never ending...and to top it off the economy is so diverse we really haven't been that effected by the recession that much...so if your looking we'd love to have you, my southern brother!

Well, paradise is not that great after all, We got 6" of rain where im at and Schofiled Barracks (Army Base) got 11" in 24 hrs, Lots of flooding and lots of damage to homes, Then to top it off Big Island got 7" of snow. Mother Nature cant make up her mind what she wants to do. But it will all be better by midweek when its back to the 80's and plenty of sunshine. Best part of this all is the surf is up and coming in at about 15-22' depending on which side of the island your on.
