My 88 camaro has a mechanical heater box it has three settings. vent, heater, and defrost(sound familiar) and i can slide it to vent and heater but it wont budge into defrost so my car takes 15 to 20 mins to defrost windshield. after taking it out and looking at it the cable for the vent and heater moves when i slide it but once it gets to pullin the defrost cable it wont budge. and i cant force it(plastic haha) could it be something stuck in the duct? or is the cable seized. whats the best way to go about this. do i have to take the whole dash apart? please help soon if you could any input helps. thanks
