My 69 has the stock 300 hp 350 with 041 heads. The power is ok, but nothing to write home about. Would a cam swap give me a decent about of increase? If not, what would?

I think the XE-268H cam would wake that up for you. I assume you are running dual exhaust ? A cheap pair of headers would help too. Keep the quadrajet carb. I know everyone says 750 Holley but, you would lose your street driveability and gas mileage. A good tune may be in order, by someone who KNOWS these carbs.

I have dual exhaust with h pipe, I have both a 600 vacuum secondary and a 650 double pumper. I have both a 70 LT1 Corvette intake (Winters) and a Weiand- but not sure of the model. Are you referring to the Lunati cam?

No, that shouild be a CC cam, I would go the 268 VooDoo instead.

And install the LT1 intake and the 600 carb. A good stock Q-Jet would be better, imho. But then you would need an E-brock Q-Jet RPM.

I agree with pdq on the Lunati VooDoo cam. I have never had any problems with Lunati cams, they perform good, priced good, and last if you break it in right.

Headers would be the best bang for the buck and I agree on keeping the Q-Jet. By performing a few mods to the Q-Jet, it can run with ANY carb out there, especially on the street. Great MPG and great power, but you have to make the right mods to the right areas. A cam would definately help, but headers will give you the most improvement per dollar.

Already got the headers. I think I will go with the Voodoo 268 cam. Will I have to replace the valve springs with this cam?

Good choice. As far as springs, it really depends on what you have already and how much time is on them. Just for an extra bit of insurance I changed my springs. I called Lunati and got their recommended springs and lifters.

I think Z-28, (-142), and the later '70, 350 LT-1 valve springs will work, BUT please verify this by Lunati or UDHarold himself here (662) 562-4933.
