My 68 396 conv. tends to be low on gas way too soon. I don't see a leak, but the garage often smells like gas. Is it normal for gas to evaporate in the garage? Would it be normal for a full tank to evaporate over about 3 months?Thanks

If the gas fumes you smell are coming from the rear of the car then I'd suspect the seams around the gas tank!.....It wouldn't leak down on the ground but the gas tank would be all saturated with gas, just check it out!

I had a simular problem with my 68 shortly after I purchased it. No gas leaking on the floor but bad smeel in garage. I replaced my fuel lines front to rear and found a peice of rubber line in the rear was split on the top. Onced all replaced no more problems.
